The question remains.. will all these XP themes and such work with the new Vista?

As far as I have heard DiscoLeia, Vista will use a different skinning technique and in all likelihood (unless Microsoft creates built-in conversion of older themes, doubtful!), existing themes for Windows XP will have to be converted by the authors.
