That's a pretty CooL desktop guy. Pretty neat. Which poses a question. About 6 months ago, I ran across a program, Like WindowBlinds / DesktopX / Talisman, etc. But it was totally WICKED... I didn't have the system for it, but have since upgraded. (Actually, the wife gotta computer and her's is better than mine, lots better!) :D I hope if I explain it, maybe someone can give me a clue as to what it is, since for the life of me I can't recall the dang dong name of the program.
It was like a virtual 3d desktop, and the system requirements where quite hefty. it was as if you could actually "walk around" your desktop and go where you needed. I've searched ZDnet and Download.com high and low and just can't seem to find it again. I have a copy of it, in my archives, but at the moment my archives are not in the order i usually have them and the archiving system I use is unobtainable as I have a MASSIVE collection of stuff.
My friends and family call me a digital packrat, among other things. I don't really know why, I only have 204 5.25 floppies, 632 3.25 floppies, 64 data tapes ranging is size from 20 meg to 1.2 gig, 400+ CD's (and those are the burned ones, not counting the bought ones). I think the last confirmed count of files/programs was in excess of 100,000. (I used to run a BBS for those who know what that is, and I hung on to everything) And I do actually have it organized, but like I said, it's inaccessible right now. (My HD took a dump and I am currently reformating and starting over in that aspect)
As for my system, I have only 384 megs of memory and 8 megs on the video. My wife though, has 512 memory and 64 on the video. I do have a bigger monitor than she. She only has a 15 and I have a 19! SIZE DOES MATTER!
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
